Tales From The Yard: YMS Installment 001

While on a site visit, a prospect was showing me how congested the yard was and I noticed one carrier having many more trailers than others. When I asked if that carrier was the main OTR fleet they chuckled and told me not a chance. Fast forward 4 weeks later when we implemented Yardview and quickly discovered the carrier in question was using a back lot on the yard as a storage facility.Armed with the data from YardView the leadership team was able to present to the carrier that they were misusing the site and causing major yard congestion.
